We join forces for the sake of building integrity institutions.
On January 19th, the Foundation for Institutional Development and YouControl signed a Memorandum of Cooperation and Cooperation, which will contribute to the construction of transparent, effective and integrity local self-government bodies in Ukraine.
Cooperation will include the following aspects:
✔️ ensuring transparency and accountability of the activities of local self-government bodies;
✔️ establishing their interaction with civil society and business;
✔️ helping to increase the efficiency of the functioning of state institutions with the help of digital technologies.
The executive director, Kateryna Datsko, emphasized the importance of the development of cooperation between the Foundation for Institutional Development and YouControl, because at the moment society has a great demand for integrity and transparency in the activities of local self-government bodies.
Kateryna thanked the partners and added that this cooperation is another step towards the creation of transparent, responsible and integrity local self-government bodies. By combining the resources and expertise of both organizations, we hope to ensure not only a high degree of transparency in the activities of local self-government bodies, but also to actively involve civil society and business in decision-making and monitoring of local self-government bodies activities.
In addition, during the meeting, the representatives of the Foundation for Institutional Development and YouControl discussed the directions in which the Memorandum will be implemented.
Cooperation will include the organization of joint educational events, expert support and implementation of YouControl tools in the activities of pilot communities.
